Not a classic Rose but a very smooth and fine Rosé half dry we have found in Germany’s biggest wine area: Rheinhessen – a region of the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
It is a typical summer wine for those who like a more sweeter taste.
Winemaker Christoph Hammel is very creative finding new concepts for making Rosé. He dedicated this pricewinning dry rosé “Sophie Helene” to his daughter. It is made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Dornfelder. The Cuvée shows a wonderful fruity nose with aromas of raspberries, pomegranate, cherries, yellow figs, a hint of mint and floral accents. On the palate, fresh, juicy, great fruit, animating elegance, finesse, delicate spiciness, irresistible charm and long reverberating.
